I’m Sophie, a mummy and certified baby development & wellbeing practitioner delivering baby massage, sensory play and mindfulness classes.
Becoming pregnant led me on a new and beautiful journey of self-discovery, realising I had no idea what parenting would entail and the decisions facing me, I did my own research & (failing to give into peer and societal pressures) chose to exclusively breastfeed and practice attachment parenting. Like most others, my journey hasn’t been without physical, mental & emotional challenge, but bringing my babies into the world and helping them blossom has been totally and utterly rewarding. I would love to pass on my knowledge, advice and guidance to other new parents, because I acknowledge that whilst new parents are finding their feet, it is also a critical time for baby brain development as this is when core foundations to futures are set (during the first 2 years of a new life). The best way to support this development is via bonding through a nurturing touch & love.
So, I am on a mission to support parents and babies to build upon their bond through positive communication, love and a nurturing touch which in turn supports the mental and physical development of both parent and baby. Whilst I am an advocate of breastfeeding and attachment parenting I also appreciate that these options are not for everyone and pride my sessions on being fully inclusive, delivered in a warm and welcoming atmosphere with an open mind and no judgement. At times some parents just need to spend a little time around others to share, listen, seek guidance or advice.
My vision is to create an inclusively diverse community of supported parents who do not feel alone, particularly during episodes of physical or emotional challenge. Through mindfulness and meditation I aim to encourage parents keep moving forward with a positive mindset and full of love.
